Patrick Cocquet is Chairman
and co-founder of 6Wind, the leading developer of software for network hardware
using the Internet IPv4 et IPv6 standards.
Patrick Cocquet
also chairs Task Force IPv6 France, which he set up in September 2002. He is further
Vice-Chairman of the IPv6 Forum, which he co-founded in July 1999. In April 2003,
he became Vice-Chairman of the Chinese IPv6 council (China IPv6 Council).
Before
creating 6Wind, Patrick Cocquet headed the Network R&D unit at the Technical
department of Thomson-CSF (now Thalès). He has further contributed expert
advice to many international organisations, particularly the IETF (Internet Engineering
Task Force). Previous to this he worked for Dassault Electronique, where he managed
the development and design of communication protocols and architectures for military
and professional systems. He has contributed several standards to these areas.
