with 2 children. An ESSEC graduate with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Gilles
Pelisson has held the following functions : On
completing his studies he joined the Accor group, spending six years in the United
States as Vice President Marketing of the Seafood Broiler restaurant chain. This
was followed by a period as Senior Vice President for the Asia-Pacific Zone. In
1988 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Courtepaille restaurant chain.
In 1993 he became Joint Chairman of the Novotel hotel chain,
In the summer of 1995 he moved to Euro Disney, first as Deputy CEO and in February
1997 as Chairman and CEO,
In April 2000, Gilles
Pelisson joined Suez as Chairman of the Suez-Telefonica ST3G consortium, one of
the candidates for an UMTS licence, and as Chairman of NOOS, the leading cable
network operator in France,
Gilles Pelisson
was appointed COO of Bouygues Telecom in September 2001 and Chairman and CEO in
February 2004.
A Knight in the National Order
of Merit, Gilles Pelisson is also a director of the BIC group, a director of TPS
and Chairman of ESSEC's Supervisory Board.
